After more than 3 weeks of summer cl****, my on-the-job training class is almost over, too. There's nothing much to do here now at SEAMEO Innotech Learning Resource Center. All we are waiting now is the completion of our 150hr requirement.

I learnt a lot here. Honestly, I did not learnt much in my 61 and 62 cl**** which are cataloging and classification I & II (but my grades are good), and wandered before if I would be really a librarian. I did not want such work. Really.  Until I experienced it in my ojt. I found it  fun and challenging. It's as easy as looking up at the dictionary the meaning of a word. *grins* Now i'm loving it and I'm now confident to apply for libraries that offer cataloging services. Hehe! And how much now is the cataloging service for each book?

I also experienced indexing, online news clipping , inventory (i hate  this task.), reference service, circulation, front desk, encoding bibliographic records in the library system (Athena), labelling, ownership, assignment of subject headings, etc. I also learned to drink coffee. I am not really a coffee drinker but since i'm chilling of the aircon and my brain seems to freeze, coffee is the best and only choice to stimulate my brain and muscles.

I also had my very first sweldo (sahod) in my life during my stay here. :D Wee and Von would build a family out of it, Marj would use it for renting a boat for vietnam, Geexie would buy it a guy, and I would use it to have a gown made of katsa (cheese cloth). Of course we were only kidding. It's actually our allowance from the organization but we call it sweldo, feeling like we are already professionals. Though it's just small, i really treasure it. :)

I see how time flies and it is really so fast! I remember I was just in the hospital last April 12-17 because of measles and thought I could not anymore attend summer cl****, and now here I am. I'm finishing my OJT and I'm now waiting for my grade in chemistry 1 (GE subject). Oh well.. Isn't it that fast?

And here's the rainy season again. I hate rain when i'm out because it's super hassle and i love it when i'm in my bed because it's nice to sleep, just lie lazily, or have pillow fight with my sister, rooommate, or cousin. 

Anyway, i'll gonna finish the ojt this friday. I think I need celebration. Because I really want this to end and go home. . . :)
